Pretty harsh condition untill now, cold and snowy mountain passes. Had a tough start but feeling good now. Passed Fleecer Ridge where my fork broke back in 2017. Have some little mechanical issue with my rearhub, but it's manageable for now.

So reaching the finishline at second place. 👏👏 Sofiane, a well deseved win!

Lots of bikepacking fun. Lots of wet bushy trails and muddy farmers roads. Lots of beautifull sunrises. Lots of sleep (for a bikepacking event)

9 days 11 hours

Slower compared to 5 years ago and maybe slower than I hoped, but satisfied under the given circumstances on this track (which has changed quite a bit compared to the first edition of the FD)
.
Time to go home and enjoy some familytime

Pardon my French, but f*ck this weather. I didn't expect the track and weather to be this wet this time of the year. For the first 7 days I'm riding nonstop with a rainjacket. If it isn't because of the rain, then it's because of the wet track.

For the first 6 days I managed to just ignore it and just pedal on, but today I stopped earlier than planned because it was pouring rain again.
.
Maybe it's also because I wanted more riding time and less hike a bike on this track. The first days it was because of thick bushes and now it's because of steep sections on walking trails.
.
Nevertheless I'm making good progress, but I wanted to test my riding capabilities more. And some more sunshine, but who doesn't want that. 😉
