A kind of Great Divide in France. More than 2200 km of bikepacking, in 15 days max with no assistance on the most beautiful gravel and MTB roads of France following part of the route of St Jacques de Compostelle.

CANNONDALE FLASH – Lauf fork
Ben talks about his bike in this article on Velochannel.com:
Tell us about your complete equipment for that trip.
I choose to ride my MTB. The frame is a Cannondale Flash 29 but I replaced the Lefty fork by a Lauf Trail Racer. That way I could build a wheelset with a SON dynamo hub to ride in the dark and to provide energy to my GPS and phone. The Lauf Trail Racer is the best decision I could make. Almost as light as a rigid fork but way more comfortable to ride in the MTB sections. The components on the bike are a mix of Shimano and SRAM. Not the high-end parts but parts you can trust and who are affordable. Mostly Shimano SLX and SRAM X9 parts. Continental X-King ProTection in front and Race King ProTection for the rear, both Tubeless Ready with a double dose of liquid in. They are a bit heavy but you just don’t want flat tires.
If you want to go fast, you have to make that the bike light. So I tried to take not much with me. I had a Sea to Summit mattress and pillow, a down sleeping bag and a bivvy bag from Sol with me to sleep in. Inside that, I rolled also a dry shirt and my compression socks to wear at night. All that were in front on my steer. In my saddle bag, I had some repair tools and some extra clothes. A down jacket, rain jacket, reflective jacket, arm and leg warmers and a buff. I had a lot of space left (in my saddle bag) for food.
